ACUPUNCTURE

 

 

     Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine. It is commonly used for pain relief, it is also used to treat a wide range of conditions. The majority  of people who seek out acupuncture do so for musculoskeletal problems, including low back pain, shoulder stiffness, and knee pain.

Cupping

 

According to traditional Chinese medicine, cupping is a method of creating a vacuum on the patient's skin to dispel stagnation (stagnant blood and lymph). Cupping is used on back, neck, shoulder and other musculoskeletal conditions.

Chinese Herbs


It is the use of plants for medicinal purposes, and the study of botany for such use. Plants have been the basis for medical treatments through much of human history, and such traditional medicine is still widely practiced today. Modern medicine recognizes herbalism as a form of alternative medicine, as the practice of herbalism is not strictly based on evidence gathered using the scientific method. The scope of herbal medicine is sometimes extended to include fungal and bee products, as well as minerals, shells and certain animal parts.

Gua Sha (Skin Scraping)

 

It is a traditional Chinese medical treatment in which the skin is scraped to produce light bruising. Gua sha releases unhealthy elements from injured areas and stimulates blood flow and healing. Gua sha is sometimes referred to as "spooning" or "coining" by English speakers, it has also been given the descriptive French name, tribo-effleurage.
